Status update
So… it’s been a while. My last post was a set of 2020 resolutions written on January 1st, 2020, which is a genuinely funny thing to reread now. No promises this time about WIP limits or reading 52 books a year, just an update.
Life
- Two kids now. The first one, and then, apparently once wasn’t enough, another.
- New house, again.
- Biking: the 2016 numbers remain untouched. Picking up swimming instead, we’ll see how that goes.
- Reading dropped to almost nothing. Went back to gaming after 15 years without touching a controller.
Work
I’m no longer at Liferay. I’m now a Staff Software Engineer at Unity, based in Valladolid.
Community
Still around the usual suspects: LechazoConf, WeCode and CyLicon Valley. I stepped down from the board of Agile Spain a while back.
Somewhere along the way I gave more than one hundred talks. I don’t have an exact count anymore, but Codemotion, Commit Conf, T3chFest and CyLicon Valley all happened more than once. I also used to run Liferay Agora, the YouTube channel for all the meetups hosted at Liferay.
The blog
Six years is a long gap. Let’s see if the next post takes less than six more.
